Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s lead to progressive degeneration of nerve cells. This can affect memory, movement and cognition, severely impacting the quality of life of individuals and their families.
Des Collines Seniors’ Services invites anyone in the Hills living with a neurodegenerative disease as well as their loved ones and caregivers to learn about existing resources, share their stories, and express their social and wellbeing needs.
In the context of the Revitalisation of Seniors’ Associations in the Hills project (funded by Québec ami des aînés), we are looking to assist in the creation of senior citizen groups in order to promote seniors’ sense of belonging in their communities. We recognize that people living with a neurodegenerative disease have specific social needs, hence this consultation event.
Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 1pm to 3pm at the Farm Point Community Centre (331 chemin de la Rivière, Chelsea)
Bilingual event • Free entry • Coffee and snacks provided • Accessibility ramp
